Jason Sudeikis doesn't strike us as a man who is overly serious about awards, and thus awards shows, and thus
awards-show style. And that easygoing attitude was on full display at
tonight's Golden Globes, as he paired his sharply tailored tuxedo with
none other than a pair of Air Jordans.
In fact, wearing Air Jordans with a tuxedo has become something of a signature for Jason, who first sported them at the 2013 Met ball.
We wouldn't normally endorse an athletic sneaker with a tuxedo, even if
it is a pair of ultra-rare Air Jordan 11 Concords. Instead, any one of
these über-minimal classics
will do should you decide to go for the sneaker-tux combo.
Additionally, generally speaking, it's best to dress down the rest of
your black tie if you're going to be slipping into some casual kicks.
(Pro tip: Lose the peak lapel and maybe even the tie altogether.) But
Jason is wearing the Js with enough confidence and DGAF attitude that he
pulls it off. And, hey, it's hard to go wrong, no matter what you're
wearing, when you've got Olivia Wilde on your arm.
